Qualification in Game Production, part degree 55 competence points (1 year)/Pelituotannon osaamisalan osatutkinto 55 osaamispistettä (1 vuosi).
This is a one-year part degree of Game Production and Media, which is a great introduction to digital game making and media in general. The studies consist of two vocational units Pelituotannossa toimiminen (Operating in Game Production) and Media-alalla toimiminen (Operating in Media).
There is a possibility to continue to full degree, Media-alan ja kuvallisen ilmaisun perustutkinto, pelituotannon osaamisala, (Vocational Upper Secondary Qualification in Game Production) if needed requirements are met before the end of semester.
If the applicant is under 18 years old and is selected for the training, he/she gets the right to complete the entire degree.

Those interested in 2D and 3D graphics, game engines, and working in the games industry. Former knowledge is not needed, but skills in drawing, painting, sculpting, game design or coding are helpful.
You need to have a Basic education certificate or General upper secondary education certificate or similar.
We will send you an invitation to a language test by May 10th.

Student selection is based on
1. Written and oral English language test, which is assessed with CEFR standards.
2. Basic education certificate of General upper secondary education certificate or similar.
If candidates have equal points based on criteria 1. and 2., the selection is done with a draw.
The language test will be arranged on Muotoilijankatu campus on two occasions. First part is a written test on Monday 3.6. at 10–12, second part is a private oral test on 3.6.–7.6. The information about the oral test time will be sent to applicants via text message and/or email.
The results for student selection are announced to the applicants via a text message and/or email at June 18th.
